Welcome Message
Message from Chairman, Organising Committee

My dear friends and colleagues,

I am honoured to invite you to participate in the 13th International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM 2010) to be held in Singapore from 9 - 12 June 2010.

ICEM 2010 is organised by the Society of Emergency Medicine in Singapore. It is the biennial conference of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM).

This will be the first time the world's premier international conference in the field of Emergency Medicine is being held in Singapore or anywhere in Asia. The scientific programme will cover information on multiple aspects of emergency medical care practiced in a variety of environments. These topics will be presented through state-of-the-art lectures, symposia, panel discussions, workshops, free communications and poster presentations. The conference will carefully document lessons learnt at each track and transmit these to all interested groups for continuing development of the ideas created during the meetings. We will also have an industry exhibition that allows commercial partners to display their latest in pharmaceuticals and equipment relevant to Emergency Care.

With all your participation we will be able to move with the Conference theme:
EMERGENCY MEDICINE: THE WORLD MOVES FORWARD.

No effort will be spared to make the scientific programme exciting, productive and a major learning event for both researchers and clinicians. ICEM 2010 will be an excellent opportunity for networking, renewing old ties and making new friends. With more than 60 national and specialty-specific societies participating, ICEM 2010 will be a truly international event. It will offer the best in the world of Emergency Medicine and a fantastic opportunity to interact with the largest group of opinion leaders and industry giants and providers of Emergency Medicine Services that has ever come together at a single venue. This will create a platform for excellent scientific and international networking at the highest level. We expect more than 4,000 participants. There are many advantages in getting involved in this major event and tremendous scope for companies and institutions to expand into new geographical areas and reach a wider
group of scientists and practicing emergency clinicians.

Singapore is also one of the smallest, yet most beautiful, countries in the world. It is almost "Heaven on Earth" Well connected to all corners of the globe and affordable to all, the island nation is also the gateway to the wonders, pleasures and experiences of South-East Asia and the Far East.

I look forward to welcoming you to Singapore and making your participation in ICEM 2010 a success for your organisation and an opportunity to create partnerships with many like-minded groups for many years to come. To avoid disappointment, please make your booking as soon as possible.

Yours Sincerely,

Prof V. Anantharaman
