Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through ICEM 2010 website at www.icem2010.org. Abstract submission opens from 1 June 2009, Monday. All abstracts must be received by 28 February 2010, Sunday. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted. For those who wish to get an early confirmation of acceptance, please submit your abstract early as reviewing of abstracts will begin from 1 September 2009, Tuesday.

The Organising Committee invites participants to submit their abstracts of original, unpublished works, case reports and reviews for oral, poster and/or virtual presentations.
A. General Rules 
1 Types of Presentation
1.1  All authors should be prepared to do an oral or poster presentation. However, if you would like to be excluded from oral presentations, please check the appropriate box in the Abstract Form that can be found on www.icem2010.org.
1.2 The Scientific Programme Committee of ICEM 2010 reserves the right to assign a different presentation format from the one selected by the presenting author. There will be three forms of presentation.
i) Free Paper Presentation
A selection of abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation during the Free Paper sessions. Presenters will be given 8 minutes to present their research findings and 2 minutes to answer questions on the presentation.Judging of oral free papers will be conducted during the conference.
ii) Poster Presentation
Participants are also encouraged to submit their work as a poster presentation that promotes direct exchange of ideas between presenter and delegates. Posters will be set up in a dedicated area at the Conference venue. Judging of selected posters will be conducted during the conference.
iii) Virtual Presentation
Abstracts may also be displayed as a virtual presentation via computer screens at the Conference venue. These computer screens will allow delegates to scroll the virtual presentation directory and read additional accepted abstracts onsite. 

2 Abstract Receipt Confirmation
2.1 Upon submission, authors will receive an automated acknowledgement by email.
2.2 Lack of confirmation will indicate that the abstract was not received.
2.3  Abstracts must be received by 28 February 2010, Sunday.

Notification of Acceptance 
The Presenting Author of each abstract accepted for publication will be notified by email by 28 March 2010, Sunday. If the Presenting Author is unable to present the abstract, a co-author can take his/her place. A letter from the Presenting Author informing about the change is requested and must be received by ICEM 2010 Conference Secretariat by 28 April 2010, Wednesday.

Withdrawal 
Submitted abstracts cannot be withdrawn. 

Publication
5.1 Abstracts will be published as submitted. Abstracts considered unsuitable for reproduction will not be published. The Abstracts Selection Committee reserves the right to modify the submitted text of abstracts to correct grammatical and sentence construction errors. Every effort will be made, in these instances, not to alter the meaning of the text. Corresponding authors will be contacted for confirmation of the final version prior to publication.
5.2  Abstracts accepted for presentation (either oral, poster or virtual) will be published only if the Conference Registration fee has been paid. 

B.  How to Send Abstracts
i)  Abstracts can only be submitted via the website. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted.
ii)  Abstracts must be structured in one of the formats shown on below abstract format, as appropriate.
iii)  Authors can submit their abstracts online at www.icem2010.org with effect from 1 June 2 009, Monday.

Submission Format 
All submissions are to be made electronically according to the instructions provided by the Abstract Review
  Board within the submission time period.
• Submission format and headings should follow the type of paper submitted, see below.
• Please limit the title to less than 30 words.
Please limit your abstract to less than 300 words.
Please use Arial or Times New Roman font, size 10.
Tables, figures and graphs are not allowed.
Do not use double spaces at the end of sentences; do not add lines of space between paragraphs.
Define abbreviations at their first mention. Thereafter, abbreviations may be used freely.
Failure to comply with these requirements may exclude the abstract from consideration.
The Organising and Scientific Committees reserves the right to edit any details of the abstract submitted as
  deemed appropriate.
